These evening courses will be perfect for anyone interested in creating, building and managing their own website, be it for business or simply just as a new hobby.

What is WordPress Wednesday?

When you search the internet for anything related to “WordPress Training“, Courses, Classes or Private tuition, you will find that Wednesday is a common choice relating to the day when classes or workshops are run. Understandably “WordPress Wednesday” rolls off the tongue much better than WordPress Monday, Tuesday etc… I know you can learn WordPress any day of the week, however by focusing your learning to one given day per week will help you progress much quicker, so why not make it Wednesday?

The main focus for this website will be to help support the training conducted on my weekly Wednesday sessions, which are held privately for adults, at the Tameside Centre for Enterprise in Ashton under Lyne. The new courses will start in September, aimed at adult learners who want to find out more about WordPress and learn how to build great looking websites using the worlds most popular content management system (CMS). Starting at the beginner level and moving on to the more advanced and intermediate levels.

If you want to find out more about these courses and workshops CLICK HERE you will find booking information and other details about the courses.

What’s it all about?

Teaching WordPress is nothing new, there are 1000’s of online courses, video tutorials, bootcamps, workshops, one day courses the list and choice is endless. Some people claim you can “learn WordPress in a day“, the truth is there is much more to learning WordPress than attending a one day course.

My overall aim is to teach you, what you will do personally, once you have learned the basics skills of setting up a WordPress website … answering the question, “Now What“? Going beyond the basics to meet your individual needs.

Some things to think about prior to attending?

Prior to attending you may want to think about, if you haven’t already, what you actually want your website for, ask yourself the question what do I want it to do? This may sound like an obvious question but you will be surprised how many people start building a website not really knowing what they want it to do. For example is it going to be used to showcase and sell products? Will it just be to used to promote a business or service?
Do you have one? Do you know what one is? Although this will be covered in some detail during the course, you will need to think about the web address for your website (your domain name), if you have one already then that’s great, in addition you will need a good Hosting Package. Understandably you may or may not already have this in place, it will save some time if you investigate these two points prior to attending. My aim is not to sell you a Hosting package but to guide you on what you will require to run your website effectively.
During the initial sessions Workstations will be provided, however when you start on the individual practical sessions you will require your own Laptop (WIFI will be provided), you will also require a workbook/notebook, pens/pencils. Worksheets and guidance notes and Handouts will be provide when necessary.
It is anticipated that this course will fill up pretty quickly as numbers are limited, you can secure your place for the next available course by booking online, if you book for four consecutive weeks you will SAVE £20.00 CLICK HERE to book today. The next course starts on 25th September at 5pm till 8pm.
